UPDATE: AvtoVAZ domestic sales rise 17% to 311,600 cars in 2017

MOSCOW, Jan 10 (PRIME) -- Domestic sales of Russia’s largest carmaker AvtoVAZ rose 17% to 311,600 cars in 2017, according to a presentation of Executive Vice President for Sales and Marketing Jan Ptacek seen by PRIME on Wednesday.

Lada’s share on the Russian car market increased to 20.5% in 2017 from 19.6% in 2016.

Exports of Lada cars grew 31% to 24,000 units in 2017.

AvtoVAZ expects to raise car exports in 2018 and boost its share on its strategic markets, in particular in the CIS, Ptacek also said without providing any figures.
